Ancient granite stile.
One of many such stiles on the old path between Vogue and Treskerby. I'll upload a few of them as and when. They often span a brooklet such as this as well as hedges (Cornish for stone walls!)

Some people are advocating their complete removal so that this path can be accessed by wheelchair users. I add NO comment here.

Do you think the stones were quarried for this particular purpose, or have they been nicked from an old Roman road and re-purposed?
Andy Rodker replied to Keith Burton:
More likely they were from ancient stone circles and other prehistoric sites. And there are many 'rounds' hereabouts which were bronze and iron age settlements and almost certainly defended with granite walls and these could well have been old gate posts and so on.
