Back in 2011 when I was walking here twice a week and posting millions of granite boulder photos on Panoramio, there were about 4 of us who walked here and posted photos. Of course the other three were Spanish and they were amazed that I seemed to 'know every rock and stone' in this Sierra. I felt quite flattered by that!

Thank you, Gillian! I have two preferred walking areas; here and the granite cliffs of Cornwall. Why granite? Happenstance that's all!

These granite "sculptures", fruits of the natural imagination, indeed irrigate the human one!
They are always as pleasing as imposing, especially in this absolutely striking perspective.
