I moved to Madrid in 2010. I didn't recall, or even hear about, 'Calima' until a couple of years ago at most. Maybe because I was living in the centre of Madrid then and weather phenomena aren't so visible among the appartment blocks.
But, since moving to Algete and with amazing scenery from where I now live, I can attest to the fact that I've experienced at least 10 such incidents these past two years!

J'habite aux portes de la Bretagne nous avons également ce sable quelques fois . Les voitures en sont recouvertes et nécessitent un bon lavage ;o)
