Evening light. Madrid skyline from El Pardo.

by Andy Rodker
Old Madrid is beyond the right end of the shot. 19th century Madrid encroaches at the right and as we go from right to left, the 20th century appears and progresses to the 21st century at the Cuatro Torres at the left.

Thank you, Maurice. Like many cities, Madrid is a mix of architectural styles. And yes: old to new = right to left!

How wonderful to stand there and see the progression of this fine city. I love the foreground which does frame the cityscape so well.
