Cabezuela del Valle, Cacares Province

Scanned from an old slide.
My brother-in-law's pueblo in the Valley of the Jerte, famous for its cherries. This was taken in July 1982. The town has much expanded since then. My sister was married in the church there in 1983.

It looks a lovely place - but it must have changed quite a bit in the last 30 years, apart from the river bed!!

Andy Rodker replied to Jenny McIntyre:

Amazingly I haven't been back since 1986 (complicated family politics) but I understand that it has expanded a lot and is now a popular and very touristy place.
