La Machota Alta and El Fraile (The Friar), together with dry stone wall

by Andy Rodker
This overlooks the palace monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial but there was no way of getting this interesting summit rock and the palace in the same shot, sadly!

This is a fantastic shot anyway Andy. I love the Friar too, he does appear to be watching over the monastery

I really like your composition here, especially the way the dry stone wall seems to morph into the into the natural landscape! Beautifully captured Andy!

Andy Rodker replied to Keith Burton:

Thank you, Keith. I do remember this walk very well form a very hot October day back in 2011 and I do recall taking a little time over this shot, even if I couldn't include the palace in the shot!
