Trolltunga is a rocky outcrop that hangs nearly 2000 feet above the like Ringedalsvatnet and a popular hiking destination, though the hike is rated at extremely demanding. We were on the second leg of that hike, a rather level trail across the tundra when this photo was taken. We had nearly reached the third section of the hike a walk along the cliffs above Ringedalsvatnet to Trolltunga. The valley in which the lake is found can be seen in the distance and other hikers on the left of the photo.
