Grey Abbey

Grey Abbey is a ruined ecclesiastical site in the town of Greyabbey in County Down, Northern Ireland. The abbey was founded in the 12th Century, dissolved in the 16th Century and is now on lands owned by the Montgomery family. We visited the site yesterday while exploring the Ards Peninsula and the area of Strangford Lough.

An impressive looking Abbey structure, Ron. That certainly is a massive wall, as shown by the arch. Enjoy your Ireland travels.
