This photo was taken from the same place as the previous photo, the Diablo Lake overlook on Highway 20, the North Cascades Highway, and in the area of North Cascades National Park. The lake is Diablo Lake formed by the Diablo Dam, one of the dams that provide hydroelectric power for the city of Seattle and the peak in the background is Colonial Peak. The photo was taken in summer rather than autumn.
