Padden Ridge lies between Padden Lake and Interstate 5 to the south of Bellingham, Washington. I hiked there the end of May looking for native orchids, but as always tried to capture something of the "feel" of the area as well. This was one of the better photos taken in a wilder area of the ridge, a popular place for walkers, runners and hikers.
