Part of the Baker River trail in the North Cascades, a hike I did with my brother earlier this spring. Never knowing what awaits around the next corner or over the next hill is part of the thrill of hiking in the mountains, and there is always something to see, something to enjoy, something to photograph and something to wonder at.
