The joy of a phone
In Urumqi, Xinjiang - China, 4 young Uighur food stall attendants are motionless at the tandoor, engrossed in their phones.
Phones have replaced cash in China and everything is technologically advanced.
Passport numbers or identity card numbers do all the work of tickets. If you catch a train( tickets are pre-booked) or enter a ticketed tourist spot, your entry is by scanning your passport or identity document.
It was -17°outside, so I momentarily envied them draped around the hot tandoori oven!

A delightful candid shot Diana.........sharp, detailed and very colourful.
An interesting narrative as well. How do people that don't own a mobile phone survive, I wonder?
