Roof of the World HFF

Far North Pakistan at 4000m in Chipurson on the Afghan border, almost.
Have a happy Friday.
I wish we could all be optimistic about a world at peace…it is all very sad just now.

Best wishes and thanks for your visit

Wars, large and small, seem to be an ongoing problem, and it's all very depressing, together with fake news courtesy of AI, and global warming. I'm so glad that I live in a relatively small community, even though the infra structure isn't very satisfactory. It all seems peaceful in this mountainous area, but who really knows.
HFF, Isabel and enjoy the upcoming week.

Yes Diana, unfortunately you are right. People know neither respect for each other nor disregard for violence...

Another vast and magnificent landscape Diana............the mountains make a really majestic backdrop and I love the blue sky and clouds. Beautifully captured.

I hate to say this but I have become to believe that "world peace" is a myth.............us humans seem determined to destroy each other and our planet. I can't see that changing anytime soon............I really hope I'm wrong :-((

Wonderful composition, the road and landscape leading the eye into the centre of the scene.

This magnificent, majestic landscape will still be here long after the human race has destroyed itself. Through greed, ignorance, racism and sheer stupidity, we seem to be determined bring about the end of our 'civilisation'. Who know, perhaps the planet will be a better without us.
HFF

All the best, Doug
