The guest trailer

I recently spent 5 days in Dorris, California with my son and his family. They live on an enormous hay ranch (not owned by them). This little trailer is their summer guest quarters and their camp trailer when they go to the coast. It was really fun to wake up next to the horses.

Yes, I do need a bigger car or volkswagenbus' with a towbar.
And a nice caravan
Than park it for a week or so at a SVR Camping or Camping Farm.
That stil is on my bucketlist.
In the morning waking up next to horses or goats looks nice

What a lovely place to stay............it looks perfect just for one and I suspect you were quite comfortable...........what could be better than family, horses and dogs for company?

A beautiful photo too!

Yes, I've done that fairly often, it's very close. It's practically indistinguishable from Klamath Falls area, so not exactly an exotic getaway. Have to stop driving soon due to eyesight though, so appreciate any getaway I can get!

Does your son have a retro-looking car to tow the caravan with?

Diane Putnam replied to GrahamH:

Haha - his wife has a restored '72 Chevy truck, would that do?

It is gorgeous, in a dry desert kind of way. My camping days are over, but I loved touring around the western US and Canada in a 1976 VW pop-top camper van. My camping days are long over - too much work for an old woman!

Everything o.k. with you, Diane ?!
Good to notice: you had had a good holiday season. So I hope you're healthy, optimistic and fit all around. Best wishes from Berlin !

Diane Putnam replied to Heidiho:

Greetings, Heidi! I'm OK, just losing eyesight and mobility, so my photography days are rare, now. I don't know what I'm looking at half the time! Thanks so much, nice to have your visit. ;-)
