There is a long tube one one side. You fill the globe with water, stick the tube into the soil and it gradually waters the plant.

AHHH! A first for me! A very good purpose, I'd say! You can tell I miss my garden. I haven't done ANY gardening in my own garden for 12 years now. When I visit my parents in Cornwall (getting less and less frequent, sad to tell), you can imagine my eagerness to get stuck in!

I miss mine, too. I can't do much in the dirt, anymore, my joints are screaming when I do. I used to do heavy digging, pruning and so on. I thoroughly enjoyed digging, especially!
