Already snowy in Klamath Falls !!
Probably I shouldn't be surprised :-)
It looks like an impressive scene for what we here call 'Presepe', an ancient Christmas tradition( fortunately still surviving)before Santa Claus arriving with his reindeer :-).
This is the time of year we usually get the first snow - our Thanksgiving holiday. It was a huge, very strong storm and only a corner of it came to KF. I guess the Presepe is the same as a Nativity display? That was the result of a Google search, anyway. I can imagine the photo with the required people and animals added to it. ;)
Stepping in for Bea to confirm that Presepe is a Nativity scene in Italian. When I was a kid, it was as much a part of the holidays as the Christmas tree, but it has become much more unusual to see one in a home. And Bea is exactly right, the light, snow, wintry feel makes it look like the perfect setting for a nativity scene!
Thank you so much, Annalia! Yes, it was the same here, almost every home had a nativity set and there was also one in the town center, in front of every church and sometimes in front of people's houses. Many kids walked around at night singing Christmas Carols in the neighborhoods. (My grandchildren don't know any religious ones.) Very nostalgic to think of things like that, isn't it? My mother's Nativity set is somewhere in storage. I should look for it.
