Bike detail

He designed and made the wood fenders himself. I recognize symbols for Scotland and England on the head tube, but the top one is cut off in the photo. Enlarged, it appears to be a raptor-type bird in flight. The top tube has what seems to be a statement in Irish or Scottish Gaelic. Whatever all this is, he is obviously proud of his heritage.

It turns out that Spectrum, a custom shop in the US, is closing after its current orders are complete. www.bicycling.com/news/a26576578/spectrum-cycles-closing
