Egypt has always held a fascination for me, but so much trouble puts you off......also Morocco, with it's colourful wares +........I have been to Italy, but would love to go back to see Venice for the architecture & Florence for the Arts ...

Yes, it's not a time for for going to several countries. Of course, now, it is a terrible time to be an American abroad - not that I would feel threatened in most places, but the deep embarrassment of having a Mafia Don as a president is just exhausting. He is obviously hateful to everyone and is proud of it! (Well, except for Putin.) The worst thing to happen to the USA since Viet Nam, and possibly more destructive. You would LOVE Florence, and while you're there, take the bus to Siena. It's glorious!
