Very effective. The b/w is the winner for me.

B/W for me. The scenery is quite stark and suits the B/W format perfectly. I love the high contrast look to this shot.

I don't care too much for b/w but I make an exception here! A much better image than the colour one!

I prefer the mono, too, although, like Andy, I usually prefer colour. The b/w brings out the harmonious composition and the added fill light clarifies the details. It's a classic of new topographics.
