YES! There has been more rain in the "High Desert" than I have ever seen. Even so, spring here is not the soft, fluffy spring everyone else has. Danke, Gisela!
Sigh...... There was a dead branch down from a Black Jack Oak. I was able to drag it to the burn heap and once there started to break bits off to get the branch on the pile. Black Jack... even when dead is very very hard... it reminds me if Ebony ! Well .. I lost my balance.. and crashed down over the branch. I can be thankful I didnt get stabbed. I have bruises up my thighs and chest.. and I smacked/grazed my left hand /wrist/fingers (right across the arthritic outer side of it) and my head. My nose had just healed from a previous fall/graze.... needless to say that it is very unhealed again now.. and bruised forehead and chin. Happy Wednesday. Tomorrow we are going to a little retirement "do" for a couple of hours...... I look as if I fell on a tree.....
Jeez, Pam! You sound like a painful mess! Yes, you could have impaled yourself and your husband wouldn't be happy about that. Take it from someone older than you and who has to review this information once in awhile: know your limits!
I have spent a lifetime not giving in to limits. They told me when I was 15 that by the time I was 21 I would be in a wheelchair. So... that was the point I started to ride-work race horses..... Just... some days are harder than others !!!
