it so much fun to have bright sunshine contrasting with the clouds. i'm sure it happens elsewhere, but i feel like it's a more common oregon thing.

How did you even know that? (Oh, right you're in Oregon.) Definitely blue-black clouds. I was sure everyone would read this as ordinary late afternoon sky.
