Park that way. No, go that way!

The sign at the bottom: Klamath Basin Birding Trail. Klamath County is famous for only two things: Crater Lake and being on the flight path of numerous migratory bird species. Year-round species, such as bald eagles, also abound. Birding groups pass through a lot and camp in area parks.

Oh, it's famous for a third thing: potato fields! No, they're not all in Idaho. ; )

I've been meaning to go see that spot. There's a memorial there. I agree, the history is interesting and I'm especially fascinated by the heyday of the logging industry - now reduced to a fragment of its former glory. It was a wild time, similar to a gold rush.

Ha - well, there's plenty of that around here. I try not to think about it. Thanks again, Steve!
