Thank you Paul! It's quite liberating to have a tripod in the sky :)

autofantasia replied to Graeme Davidson:

Out of interest Graeme, do you have alive feed of some kind to the camera so you can see what you're setting up or is it just press and hope? :)

Graeme Davidson replied to autofantasia:

It's a live feed - with all the niceties of an iPhone like user interface to set exposure. There's no focus or aperture controls though as they are fixed by the camera design. The technology is amazing.

autofantasia replied to Graeme Davidson:

Certainly sounds impressive Graeme, but I'm guessing it all comes at a cost though and a pretty hefty one at that? ;)

Graeme Davidson replied to autofantasia:

It does get a bit costly once extra batteries, chargers, iPad and accessories are factored in. The stuff goes out of date so quickly too. I'd like to see improvements in the cameras - we've been stuck at 12mpix for a while and I've seen better image quality from iPhone cameras. It's possible to fly DSLRs with much larger craft but the price goes sky high (excuse the pun!) as well as the risk of it all landing in a rapidly depreciated heap!
