Hommage à André Kertész

A l'occasion de la Journée mondiale de la photographie, je me suis amusé à revisiter une de ses plus célèbres photos (1928).

Je trouve qu'André Kertész (1894-1985) est un peu oublié de nos jours et c'est dommage. Il a toujours fait partie de mes photographes préférés.

A great homage to a great photographer. Did you copy his photo of the fork, shadow, and plate? If you didn't, you did an incredible job. He made differente photos of this subject. He was one who was not afraid of taking photos of people.

A sheet of paper, a plate and a fork. Nothing complicated. All laid out on the kitchen table.
Taking the photo turned out to be a bit trickier: a torch held as high as possible in my left hand, the camera in my right hand (without shaking!). I took about fifteen photos in a few minutes.
I had the printed photo by Kertész right in front of me.
It would have been easier with two people, but my wife wasn’t there.
Then I cropped it, adjusted the contrast and retouched it.
