La Mayenne coule paisblement vers sa destination : peu avant Angers, avec la Sarthe elle forme la Maine qui se jette dans la Loire 11 km plus loin. Faire une balade sur le chemin de halage par beau temps est un grand plaisir.

THE SONG OF WATER. The Mayenne flows peacefully towards its destination: just before Angers, it forms, with the Sarthe, the Maine, which flows into the Loire 11 km further on. Strolling along the towpath in fine weather is a great pleasure.

DER GESANG DES WASSERS. Die Mayenne fliesst friedlich ihrem Ziel entgegen: kurz vor Angers bildet sie zusammen mit der Sarthe die Maine, die 11 km weiter in die Loire mündet. Bei schönem Wetter einen Spaziergang auf dem Treidelpfad zu machen, ist ein grosses Vergnügen.
