Bonvouloir-Tower and its amusing story:

Having left an aged steed in the Andaine Forest, Hugues, Lord of Tessé was surprised to see some days later his messenger coming back to him, cool and vigorous. Intrigued, Hugues mounted the horse which drove him to the sources of Bagnoles, where the old Lord had a bath in his turn. Coming out of the water he found force and youth also.

He married the Lady of Bonvouloir and had many children with her. In recognition of the recovered force, he made raise this tower, in a symbolic form...

Micritter, I love the legends which are often "embroidered" around castles and other remnants of the past, and thanks so much for the YS.

Thanks Serge. Yes, the architecture of this tower is truly singular and unique - at least I've never seen a similar construction. It's worth a look, definitely!
