As we head for our second holiday area (Peebles) on this fortnight in Scotland, about 20 miles east of Fort William, we pass this impressive dam and reservoir.
It is described as a Category A-listed mass concrete gravity dam located on the River Spean in the Scottish Highlands. It was built in 1934 as part of the Lochaber Hydro-Electric Scheme to generate hydroelectric power.
