Danger looms

A scene witnessed in many of our European countries at the moment, especially in Spain and France as well as here in Britain. This smoke is the result of a field of wheat going up in flames nearby and this was our way forward blocked for the moment by denser smoke beyond here.

Take care, all you that are near fires and keep cool.

Haha I see your point Güni as it does look a bit like lens flare I must admit. However as you realised it most certainly is not, instead being the result of a ferrosius crop/grass fire. I did like capturing this. Glad you found it interesting too.

A little further and my lens might have got scorched Keith. Nice to have an opportunity up-close like this but a worrying moment when we had to run back because of flames. Some minutes later the firemen had put it all out. Glad you liked the feel of this though.

We were never in any real danger. I still smell moorland fire smoke here now the results of fires at Dovestones and nearby Glossup fires. Agreed re the fireservice.
