HWW ~ Ballachulish Bridge and Beinn a' Bheithir Glencoe

After having passed through Glencoe and over the Ballachulish Bridge I find myself on the banks of the River Leven looking south towards Beinn a' Bheithir Glencoe. A fabulous spot if not for the constant rumble of traffic above. The road from here towards these mountains splits to either Oban or Glencoe. If I was to travel behind me here I would end up in Fort William just a mere 12 miles (19km) north. The river here has flown down through Loch Leven and then into Loch Linnhe just to my right and from there down to the Atlantic Ocean. PiPs

Enjoy full screen.

Have a good day.

A terrific capture from a place we know well Herb,
good to see the old ferry slipway in the background, imagine the queues that used to cause, HWW!

Herb Riddle replied to Roger (Grisly):

Ah yes, a ferry would have been a necessity here some years back. I don't think I have been on that, my first trip up here would have been just a few years later, after 1975. I had not noticed the slipway on here but am glad you did.

HWW, enjoy the rest of the week. Herb

The clear light brings out the landscape beautifully, it's rare to see it like this! The 2nd PiP is very dramatic with typical weather. HWW!
