The Three Sisters of Glencoe

Once passing the impressive Buachaille Etive Mòr (pip) at the head of Glen Coe, we head down the glen and start to see these impressive mountains to our left.

Here we see part of the Bidean nam Bian mountain range with two of its sisters to either side. These are three iconic ridges—Fàidhl, Narnain, and Coire nan Lochan—that make up the Bidean nam Bian mountain range.
The area is a popular destination for hikers and climbers, with several challenging routes to "bag" nearby Munros. The landscape was shaped by ancient volcanic activity and glaciers, creating the steep, rocky cliffs visible here

I'm pleased to see that you didn't have to walk too far from the road to get this dramatic photo, Herb. Scotland is a beautiful country isn't it?

Herb Riddle replied to Amelia:

You are quite right Amelia. As we did not have time to adventure onto these slopes, all my photos of the glenn and surroundings are done almost from my parked car. However you may see here, I have taken this with my lens set at 24mm and so we were almost in touching distance. Glad you liked it and it obviously brought back memories for you.

Have a good day. Herb
