The Inverie River

A wonderful cystal clear freshwater river, running down into Inverie Bay in Loch Nevis. Flowing through a scenic, roadless wilderness it is a favourite river for sea trout and salmon. Given more time and effort and following the river upstream for 4.5 miles, I would eventually have come to its source at Loch an Dubh-lochain and the nearby peak of Luinne Bheinn at 939 m.

Yes a great region and the nearest village here Inverie can only be reached by boat. My pleasure to share.

A very beautiful landscape.........captured in glorious sunshine. I like the light on the water, and the reflections of the trees.

The undulating peaks make a wonderful backdrop and I also like the trees and the rock-strewn and stoney foreground. A nice hint of colour from the gorse as well. Definitely worth viewing large..!! ⭐️

Is that a cottage amongst the trees?

Herb Riddle replied to Keith Burton:

Thanks for your attention to this Keith. A wonderful area and place to walk. Yes that is indeed a cottage. A little further upstream there is a small road bridge over the river and this cottage is on that road. Glad you liked these very Scottish colours. Cheers for the star.
