Aqueduct view

It seems that no matter from where you see the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, it looks magnificent. Here we see it from the flat playing fields looking east into a slightly misty sunrise. Just beyond the structure the mist is still thick as it follows the River Dee valley here.

Thanks for your generous comment Keith. Coincidentally we watched that old favourite 'Wallace & Gromit -Vengeance most Fowl' last night and it features this aqueduct except for a rock face at one end! A great structure but in some ways matched by the train Viaduct across the same valley only around 1-2 miles away, that we sadly missed completely.
