A walk alongside the River Brathay near Elterwater is very popular especially for me with this grand lighting. We have passed the impressive Skelwith Falls (pip) and see on our right this fine stand of trees. In the background stands the southern ridge of Loughrigg Fell of which we walked its northern side when we visited Rydal Caves (pip) the day before. Ah yes, a bench that has no takers on this cold wet day.
