Thornham Stathe

The old coal barn at Thornham Staithe, Norfolk, is a historic, brick-and-flint building on the quayside, likely 300 years old, once used for storing coal and smuggled goods like tea and spirits, and is now a landmark leading to the scenic Norfolk Coast Path onto the salt marshes and dunes.

Herb Riddle replied to Gudrun:

It was a fine place to stop and explore Gudrun. The walking from here was quite extensive too. You just can't beat a red roofed building to brighten things up. Glad you liked it.
