The seals of Horsey Gap

Whilst visiting the Horsey windmill we overheard someone talking about the seals that were at the nearby beach of Horsey Gap. Apparently this is a well known place for Common Seals (Harbour Seals) and is very well attended at the autumn pupping season. For us, a surprise to see so many in one spot and there were nearly as many just past the next breakwater we see in front of us here.

Another phone photo here even though I took many with my DSLR, this shows a better overall view.

Herb Riddle replied to TOZ:

No, I don't think I have either. It was a nice sight for us. There were about another 20-30 people along the sea wall, all taking photos mostly with their phones. Some went quite close to the seals despite notices imploring people not to. I have some close-ups of the seals too but taken with my long lens and bodily about 30 yards away. Glad you liked this.

Herb Riddle replied to Keith Burton:

Thanks for this Keith. Yes a great exciting sight for us here. I did in fact get a bit closer to the next group but I was hidden behind the breakwater fence.
