Thanks for this Keith. On the last night of our holiday in Norfolk, I looked outside and was amazed how totally black it was with stars between the nearby trees as bright as burning torches. I took some photos of that too but have yet to finalise them. - Last night I knew it was going to be dark and so rushed up here at 10pm to capture this. however the sky was nowhere near as black as Norfolk, plus the invading Manchester city lights made for only a photo such as this. However, very pleased that you thought it so successful and I really appreciate your comment here.

A wonderful capture Herb possibly a bit late for the Blue Hour but as administrator it's up to me !

Well worth the effort. It has great potential for another effort but I’m not sure how easy it will be to improve a darker sky changes everything

You have to be very motivated to go out and take night photos like this Herb nice one.
