By the Lochside.

2016 and we are staying near the small hamlet of Onich on the west coast of Scotland and I am looking north on Loch Linnhe towards the Corran ferry and lighthouse. Beyond that is the more famous town of Fort William, about 10 miles away.
This is a 28 second exposure via my 10x Big stopper Neutral Density filter which is great on the sea shore to give this misty appearance.

Gute Einstellung an Deiner Kamera. Es muß ziemlich dunkel gewesen sein. ***

Herb Riddle replied to LotharW:

My thanks for this Lothar. Yes, taking such a long 30 second exposure can have its problems. You see I have taken this at f14, I could have gone a few seconds longer at f22 I suspect. At least with the 7100 I could have a DoF preview, that is more than can be said for my new D7500. Glad you liked it.

Best Wishes. Herb

Herb Riddle replied to Gudrun:

Hi Gudrun. For some years I have taken a professional set of graduated filters with me but hardly ever used them as by enlarge I found software editing produced just as good results. I do use the big-stopper now and again though. Glad you like it.
