HFF ~ Reeth Swing Bridge

Our walk around this very pleasant Swaledale village led us over this suspension bridge over the River Swale. It still has this old name after the original 1920’s bridge was destroyed by a flood in 2000. It was said that children could get it to swing from side to side by pulling the supporting wires and throwing their weight around. I think this one is somewhat more solid.
See PiP for full side view.

Herb Riddle replied to Christa1004:

Sorry for the misunderstanding Christa. It was the old one that swung! This is quite solid and does not swing but it shook a little as people went across. A new side view PiP is now here too.

HFF, enjoy the weekend. Herb
