Thanks david. Yes a shitter speed of around 1/10th generally is enough to give a good balance. Here I used 1/5yj hand held and it just about still give a reasonably sharp picture with my VR switched on.

Blimey mate.........this is a bit different to yesterday's sunshine shot!

I really love the way you've used a long(ish) exposure to capture the movement of the water and the light on the water is particularly lovely.

I also like the overhead trees and the little bridge in the background. The covering of snow and frost has given the whole scene a delightful ambience. Very nicely composed and taken.

The portrait style works well too!
