Remembrance Day Nov 11

As we still hear daily about the war in the Ukraine and the Gaza area we are reminded that lessons still have to be learned. Maybe some world political leaders should take a closer look at this!

I saw this on the start of an autumn colours walk starting at the local Saddleworth village of Greenfield.

Yes, lessons are not learned. Germany at least appears to have leaned something.

Unfortunately, the world is currently moving more and more in a dictatorial direction! Even in democratic countries. That is very worrying! Apparently even the USA wants a tough dog (and criminal!) as president!
Is an era of the law of the jungle about to begin? ...

You have a real point. A very worrying development over in the US for us all.

A very poignant image Herb............especially today. I love the light and the colours......and of course the silhouetted soldier and the gorgeous poppies.

I've been watching the Remembrance Sunday coverage on TV nearly all morning.

Herb Riddle replied to Keith Burton:

Always good that my images have an effect on you Keith. On seeing the figure it looked quite startling to me too. It was the first time I had seen one at this particular spot.
I too saw part of the service. Always moving, maybe it should be mandatory watching for everyone.

Regards. Herb
