A cracking photo Herb like it very much a little bit of mist hanging round looks well in this format I like this end of Derwent Water.

ps it's a long time since I have been up Castle Crag.

Thanks Toz. I liked this end too and as we stayed at the Manesty CC Site we saw a bit around here. We walked up and around the crag and was drenched by a typical heavy shower.

This image has a wonderful ambience.........and I would agree with your comparison to a romantic classic painting.

Gorgeous light and the mist adds some great atmosphere..........and I like the contrast between the peaks in the background and the slightly darker foreground, which adds to the depth of the scene.

I definitely enjoyed looking at it large. Great work Herb.

You know that I enjoy such scenes Keith. They tie in well with my imagination and so I have often sought to capture such moody scenes. Glad you liked it too.
