Lynmouth: frontage.

We see here the end journey of the river Lynn. It rises in Somerset and flows through the Devonshire countryside before reaching the Bristol Channel at Lynmouth. Sitting in the distance is The Rhenish Tower that was used as a beacon for shipping for many years before its almost complete destruction in the 1952 floods. It was rebuilt two years later but the only original part here is the 'fire basket' sat on its roof. The harbour is to the left of the wall .

Enjoy the day.

Herb Riddle replied to Rosalyn Hilborne:

Of course you will know this village far better than me Rosa. A delight to see it again after quite a long time now. The sun came out for a bit after a while, as can be seen here.

Cheers, Herb

This very well composed Herb...........the rocky foreground and walls are nicely detailed and I like the movement of the water. The cloudy sky is beautiful and I like the way the tower breaks the horizon. Excellent work!

Thanks for this Keith. I had missed your comment a few days back. Glad you enjoyed another of my coastal views here.

Best Wishes. Herb
