The Wonders of Mallorca: Sa Colabra coast

On board our catamaran and almost arrived at the sea end of the famous Canyon de la Calabra . A bumpy sail to here at speed and my wife Eileen is starting to look a bit green! The surrounding majestic mountains jut out into the sea quite terrifying and this giant rock which I cannot name reminds me a little of Gibraltar.

Thanks for popping by this morning Jaap. Very different from your Dutch bulb fields and now for us just pleasant memories revived here.

Herb Riddle replied to LotharW:

Ah Lothar, always good to see you here enjoying my travel photos. Yes, as I sit here writing this the thermometer says it is 12C at my desk and -4C outside. It is at this time of the year we have often travelled to Spain or Cyprus to get the sun and warmth. Not this year though! You and I both would wish to be back here at 20C.

Bleibt gesund. Grüß, Herbert

A very impressive rock Herb did you get of the Catamaran and climb to the top.

Herb Riddle replied to TOZ:

Haha, we did alight near here (see next photo) and did some walking but not very far as Eileen was still suffering the effects of sea-sickness. Of course I would have loved to get to the top of this which must have been pretty high.

Have you seen my Imail?

Keep safe.

Gigantic and astonishing shapes!
With sun and calm sea they are imposing and stunning
But in days of fog and rough seas must be ghostly
Superb capture, Herb

Herb Riddle replied to J.Garcia:

Thanks Judite. I agree with you that this must be a dangerous place in real bad weather. Glad you enjoyed it.

It's a long time I don't go in a boat. I never was in Mallorca, but I was in Gibraltar.

Herb Riddle replied to Daniela Brocca:

Good to see you Daniela. Then you will see the similarity with these two great rocks.
