Windows And sails

The Crown Casino main roof is all glass good idea for the light but facing North the Sun comes in too strong. Not long after it was built the problem of the Summer sun became apparent, the answer was to put up some shade cloth sails To dull the sunlight a bit.

North Facing windows get full sun all day long , east facing windows get morning sun and west get afternoon sun. Our north I am sure is different to your north type of sun and heat.
