Lower's Nebula SH2-261

You have heard the saying Stuck between a Rock and Hard place. This is the result of 6 nights, The Rock is a Palm tree big and not going anywhere 2 am it all stops, the Hard place is the brand new street light JUST over the fence.

The monkey head had to be terminated much as I wanted to take more it got so low it was in direct line with the Street light every thing failed. This was the Nebula I really wanted to do but the Bright light ended that. BUT I have asked the question to the local council can they put a Skirt on the light my side so there is No direct light shining into the telescope.

Do I do not hold much out that there will be help forth coming other than tough luck.

Lower's Nebula or SH2-261 is one you have seen before but nothing like this. These targets are on the Orion arm of the Milky way Thats Where we the earth are on.... these are all in the South Hemisphere Northern targets.

Steve Paxton replied to Diana Australis:

No the people who designed all this and programs are the real clever ones, I am just the lucky person who wanted to try................. the results of seven years hard work and learning and over coming all the problems and UNDESTANDING them so they dont happen again. Thank you its starting to get enjoyable when I see the result's like above.

Great astro images, despite the local light problem, Steve.

Steve Paxton replied to tiabunna:

I have a reply they received my message but as yet on reply back one way or the other. It kind of makes trying to shoot north a whole lot harder and a lot more planning has to go into it going forward to try and get any results. The rock and hard place I really cant see ever changing so I think Its up to me to plan better more forward thinking. I hope I do have a win but knowing the local councils in Perth I am sure better to push a string up hill. Many thanks another lesson learnt.

Each of these astro images is breathtaking, Steve!

Hopefully the local council will see reason!

Thank you my next which is in this area is rather staggering but the build up of data like this is very slow with half the night cut off. I am using the second part of the night to take another target so its not a complete loss. This is thing way out of the normal human view and understanding. Yes it done from my back yard with my own gear and learning and not to forget I have had help from like minded people happy to pass on. I have done the very same I have some one now who is as hooked as me, my help is also my concrete learning and way of learning..... will the council see reason we wait and see I live in hope but think its going to take more planning ahead on my part to get around some of the problems.

You have a positive outlook and are creative. Those qualities will help you overcome any problems you encounter.
I look forward to seeing the results, Steve!
