David

One of the reasons I came to Florence was to see this Statue Michelangelo's David. I did study this statue in detail in art in high school the chance to see it in person and walk around it looking at the detail was just amazing for a student. Every part of this was alive the skin and all the veins below the skin, the definition of the muscles only problem I could see I am 6'3" he is a huge 17' certainly would not want to meet him in a dark ally.

I am sorry that my photo does not do 100% justice to the statue.

A great and very historical statue here well captured by you all those years ago. I thought a contended for this months CWP but you have others too. I would have liked to see this in reality too but never been to Florence. Well done.

Cheers. Herb

Steve Paxton replied to Herb Riddle:

It is a very imposing statue we studied for Art at high school. I thought of this for the CWP but happier with the others more interesting than I think a statue. Many thanks.
