From oldest to youngest L - R

This is my wife's Brothers and sisters oldest to the left, the youngest Right. This shot was my wife's idea and as the brother 4 from left was only just starting to show the signs of cancer and this would never be able to repeated. This was shot that Broke all my principals you see the third from the left refused to show as he did not want to be part of the shot. He was trying to say no he has not got cancer I understood this but was never going to be.

My Fav brother in law Fernando the one that was the most fun and the one that took me into the family without reservations, slowly we lost him to a shell till it was a real blessing that he past and no longer suffered.

Fernando

I was put under a lot of pressure to add the missing brother so the family is complete. This broke all the photographic principals I have held But I truly say he came from one of my photos from a different place and time. I did print and frame one for each of the family each still have it up on there walls. While I was not happy with what I did this really was the last the family was ever seen together as one.

Left To Right.
Fernanda, Isidoro, Egidio, Fernando, Victor , Isabel, Evyon, Alvaro, Anna, Clara , Jim and Able. 12 brothers and sisters.

The saddest part once there mother died the family get togethers slowed it did not have to be much cabbage soup and fish like the younger days was enough for them all to get together with Mum, who they lost at 96. She Died in her own bed at her time with all the family all about her as I called each one "just get here". A lady I truly admired even if we did not speak the same language. Family is every thing.

While this looks like one photo is far from it This is 5 Photos stitched in PtGui into one then was the long learning process how to add a person into a shot. This Backgound was chosen by me as it was old and long enough for 12 people Azelia Ley Homestead Manning Park an original home of the area. Some times you have to break a rule or two...

This looks a great family photo. Far more impressive though, to read your notes and find that it's actually a massive composite of 5 photos. Great work, Steve..

Steve Paxton replied to tiabunna:

It was kind of set up as verticals and much same as I do the milky way bows more info and better overlaps. It was very sad to see Fernando change to a very frail thin painful person. I think better to embrace cancer rather than go down the Chemo road after watching him closely. It was heart breaking for the whole family to see him change in front of there eyes. Many thanks a tribute to him and the family..

This would never be here if it had not been for the family's insistence make it a full family I got second youngest brothers wife to work out the space for that person so I could take the photos. it took a bit of learning but end result came out quite well the rest of the family was happy. As you say some you have to do things for family.. Many thanks.
