Japanese Red Leaf Maple

seedsandall.co.za/product/acer-palmatum-japanese-maple-bonsai-bonsai-ebook-5-seed-pack

This one I bought for myself no kids where involved with this one...

One of my fav Bonsai that I can never grow in WA as it way tooo hot for the soft leaves. Since I started Bonsai I have tried to grow these but only the Green Leaf one we can see for sale in WA. Every tree the leaves get burn to a crisp over summer a very poor Autumn colour as the leaves burnt.

Note the Photo above is how a bonsai should be viewed so you can see the placement of branches on the tree and the trunk The lid of the box is the back of the tree but yes it does show more leaves.

DSC 9447-1

When I bought the box I noticed that the tree was made from more than one colour there was grey and Brown Pieces. I got a paint to match the tree and painted all the parts so it looked like a normal tree all one colour. It was only 500 pieces but took two days to do mainly cause of the painting. I am a little surprised its in a green pot normally put in a White, Blue or Grey for the red leaves to stand out.

The back ground is dads Velvet cloth....

Steve Paxton replied to TOZ:

This one does not that's for sure apart from keeping great grand children away from them, The leaves are far to soft for our harsh environment so really the only way to have one here. Many thanks.
