Much like wide field and working on the Milky Way same does apply here I started at 10 min then worked down each min checking mostly the edges as the Center was round. 5 min is ok this shot is not cropped but full size but if I was going to crop I would use 6 min. much like a single Milky Way shot wide field is 20 sec but I can do the Bows at 25 as all the edges are taken out in the overlaps.
so It is a case of give me a dark cloud less night I will enjoy and next year will be very full.

This clear of clouds BUT not the moon so no detail but the B/W of the night but just what I needed to test out the set up at last. Tomorrow is the last test the program that does it all set it and go to bed. You can be sure I will not be going to bed standing over it all the way.
If this all works "AS IT SHOULD" then it is all the planning for the next year of targets and possibles to use the mount to the full.
I hope I can do some justice to deep space as a lowly DSLR user and lens as apposed to big rigs..
I can only say stay tuned just how this turns out over the next few months. I hope its all been worth so far the hiccups...
