Steve Paxton replied to tiabunna:

I think there needs to be a very large shift in thinking of management of the bush so these do not happen as bad as this. I was told this was lite by 4 children but that it has not been made 100% public because of there age.... while I am praying for no clouds for the night sky I am praying for some soaking rain not our usual rain in Perth 50 drops an hour... I do believe that Australia can not go on like this and let the fires like this happen so close to people with out some real active management.

I know that like me you where impacted by the fires but by inlarge we got out scott free those that lost every thing deserve better that what they got. I almost hate watching the news this year.

HFF and a prayer for rain

Steve Paxton replied to Roger (Grisly):

It is Rodger but over the rest of Australia it is even worse, some thing has to be done about it in the long term. praying for rain is about all we have left in a time of year we have totally cloudless skies for days and days. HFF and do hope you have a great weekend.

Heartbreaking, Steve. I could not help notice also that, once the fire has consumed all the vegetation, the empty bottle trash littering the roadsides is left as a further enduring testament to human disregard for nature ... Our thoughts are with Australia as you go through this catastrophic bushfire season and tragic loss of wildlife and vegetation.

Upsetting view! Rain clouds gave place to smoke clouds and redemption from such hell doesn't seem to occur soon. HFF and better safe days, Steve!
